There is much to know about the founder and CEO, Tony Post. Young athlete, he started training with a few top runners. After a 2:25 marathon at Boston, Tony takes a first job at a small family-owned business called The Rockport Company.
After 15 years at Rockport where he learned the shoe construction, Tony moved on to another company famous for it’s sole, Vibram. For 11 years, he was the CEO of Vibram USA and was very influential in the development of the Vibram fivefinger shoes.
After Vibram, Tony knew there was still something missing from the market—a shoe that allowed runners to access the important benefits of natural running while maintaining some of their favorite features found in traditional running shoes.
On the late summer of 2013, with over 40 years of running and 30+ years of shoemaking, Tony and a small team launched the brand, Topo Athletic.
Every day, Topo Athletic chooses to rise above the industry’s gimmicks and trends, encouraging a better running and fitness experience through instinctive and natural movement. It is this philosophy that serves as the foundation of Topo Athletic. A brand created for and by athletes, with a mission to develop footwear that honors the shape and biomechanics of the human foot.
